For four decades Marianne has explored the properties of the natural world. Her practice is characterised by the incorporation of many families of the floribunda, faunae and arboreal worlds.

Most recently, Marianne has incorporated in her artistic practice the illustration and writing of children’s books. In 2023/24 releasing and publishing “The Most Magical Place Called Boomanoomana” and “Winter in The Most Magical Place Called Boomanoomana”.

In 2025 Marianne has been working on the illustrations and the story of “The Acorn That Touched The Sky”.
